by CoVaBizMag

The Virginia Living Museum's 16th annual Bacchus Wine & Food Festival, presented by Old Point National Bank, was held on Feb. 7. The elegant evening of fine wine, local food and entertainment with 660 guests in attendance raised $88,447 in support of science education and conservation.

While supporting the Virginia Green program promoting practical pollution prevention techniques in all sectors of Virginia's tourism industry, the Virginia Living Museum encourages green practices to cut down on food waste, encourage locally sourced and green food items and reusable wine glasses and event plates. During the event, the Virginia Living Museum recycled over 600 pounds of glass wine bottles.
