Selden Market recently announced the grand opening of VA Goods to the one-of-a-kind downtown Norfolk retailer.
VA Goods is a carefully curated Virginia-themed gift shop featuring regional brands and products that are made, conceived or curated in the Commonwealth. The shop carries everything from handcrafted artist-inspired jewelry to local clothing brands and gourmet small-batch specialty food items. For the grand opening, the first 15 purchases will receive a special gift.
“We are on the lookout for the best products from Virginia’s up-and-coming entrepreneurs and aim to help you discover them here at VA Goods,” said Kim McKinnis, owner. “We will also carry some of the area’s beloved veteran brands. Selden Market has an enlightened audience that loves to support its community. I am looking forward to collaborating with the other small businesses in the market and creating a platform to help other businesses launch their brands.”
McKinnis is also the owner and founder of For All Handkind, an artist collective in MacArthur Center. For All Handkind was an original Selden Market popup that eventually held a storefront in Selden Market in 2018 and 2019.
VA Goods will officially open Friday, March 12 at 7 p.m.
