The new Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at The Up Center will celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, Aug. 6 in Virginia Beach.
The Cohen Clinic at The Up Center is a nonprofit philanthropic organization created to serve the more than 200,000 post-9/11 veterans and military family members in Coastal Virginia by providing high quality, accessible and integrated mental health care at no or low cost. The clinic will also serve veterans and their families across the Commonwealth of Virginia through an online delivery service option to reach even more veterans in need.
The clinic will offer treatment for a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment issues, anger, grief and loss, family issues, transitional challenges, relationship problems and child behavioral problems. The clinic is among a network of clinics being established by Cohen Veterans Network across the country to help prevent the next generation of veterans from having chronic illness.
