New Resort, 37 North, Coming to Fort Monroe

by CoVaBizMag

A new resort is coming to Fort Monroe with the goal of transforming the historic Hampton area. 37 North, the name for the new property, will pay tribute to the geographical location of Fort Monroe and pay homage to the area.

The Fort Monroe Authority (FMA) awarded Smithfield-based Pack Brothers Hospitality the right to develop the area, designated as the Marina District. The Marina District is located on the southwest edge of Fort Monroe, adjacent to The Chamberlin on Fort Monroe.

Pack Brothers Hospitality proposed a 500-seat restaurant, 250-person conference center, 90-room boutique hotel and 300-slip remodeled marina. Randy and Brian Pack, principals of Pack Brothers Hospitality, also own and operate Smithfield Station and The Surry Seafood Company.
