Bay Local Donates to United Way for Virginia Beach Tragedy

by CoVaBizMag

Bay Local presented a $11,000 check to the United Way of South Hampton Roads on Oct. 25 to support the Virginia Beach Tragedy Fund. Bay Local gathered the funds after creating original Virginia Beach Strong T-shirts available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Virginia Beach Tragedy Fund at the restaurant’s two locations in Virginia Beach.

“We wanted to do our part to help the victims’ families of the May 31 tragedy at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center,” says Billy Ennis, co-owner of Bay Local. “This is a small gesture to show we care and want to help.”

Kathryn Whitworth designed the T-shirts, which were printed by Fidgety Fan in Virginia Beach. The Bay Local Virginia Beach Strong donation T-shirts will continue to be available for purchase through their two restaurant locations and online.
