In conjunction with the United Way 2020 Campaign Kickoff, Newport News Shipbuilding and its parent company Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) have committed to supporting United Way of the Virginia Peninsula in their 2020 campaign by jointly contributing a $1 million gift on behalf of the community. HII and Newport News Shipbuilding have been long standing supporters and partners of United Way. This year, Executive Vice President of Huntington Ingalls Industries and President of Newport News Shipbuilding Jennifer Boykin will lead the United Way 2020 campaign in the role of United Way 2020 Campaign Chair.
