In March, Wegmans Virginia Beach made its first delivery to Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore with a truckload of 17,284 pounds of non-perishable food. The donation included 20 pallets of canned goods, cereals, snacks, assorted beverages, condiments, baking mixes and other ingredients. In addition to the food donation, the store team presented a $7,200 check to United Way of South Hampton Roads, representing a corporate gift combined with contributions already raised by Wegmans’ Virginia Beach employees.
