Developers and dignitaries gathered on site in Newport News on Aug. 24 as W.M. Jordan Development Company broke ground for Building One @ Tech Center. The 80,000-square-foot building will be the first of many other buildings in the 50-acre research park situated at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Oyster Point.

“There is a tremendous interest in Building One @ Tech Center, and we have already secured multiple leases for tenants and have several more letters of intent pending,” said John Lawson, President and CEO of W.M. Jordan Company.

“This amazing park is directly aligned with ongoing efforts, including the Entrepreneur in Residence program at NASA-Langley, to commercialize cutting-edge technologies and drive translational research by providing a world-class location for discoveries to land and grow,” remarked Secretary of Technology Karen Jackson.
