UnitedHealthcare of the Mid-Atlantic, in partnership with the Old Dominion University Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, is bringing their Community Care Award program to the region, awarding one small business in the area with an innovative idea to improve community health and wellness with a $10,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare.
Businesses with two to 100 employees are eligible to submit project ideas for enhancing their communities’ health and wellness through an online application through Dec. 31. Judges, including local health care experts and business leaders, will evaluate the project submissions and select finalists based on criteria such as community impact, creativity and feasibility. The top applicants will be invited to a live pitch and networking event in Norfolk where the winner will be selected.
UnitedHealthcare is collaborating with the Old Dominion University Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, a leader in the region’s business and entrepreneurial community, to identify the winning project and support its implementation in the community.
