tHRive, the young professional program of the Hampton Roads Chamber, announced the selection of the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Virginia (B&GC) as its organization of the year. Part of tHRive’s mission is to invest in the future of the region by facilitating young professional engagement through community involvement with local nonprofits and volunteer opportunities.
B&GC creates a culture of leadership and development for young individuals by providing thousands of children structure, education, mentoring and a safe place to play after school and during the summer. tHRive’s leadership believes that the partnership with B&GC will help develop the next generation of young professionals and tHRive members.
tHRive’s fundraising efforts in 2018, including matching donations from local businesses and organizations, will go towards the B&GC at the end of the year.
