The Norfolk Forum announced its slate of speakers for the upcoming 2020-21 season. The Forum’s 88th consecutive season will feature a former reporter turned media company CEO, a best-selling author and a renowned astrophysicist.

The Forum will welcome Jim VandeHei, Tara Westover and Neil deGrasse Tyson. They will address topics including the political and social issues facing the nation, educational polarization in America and our understanding of space, time and the universe.

The Norfolk Forum President Allan Parrott adds, “we are aware of The Forum’s history and how important it is for us to continue the long-standing tradition of bringing thought-provoking speakers to the stage. Due to the current health crisis, the Board of Directors thought it was appropriate for this upcoming season to host three speakers, with the option of adding a fourth at a later date. Our speakers next season are dynamic individuals who are experts in their respective fields; they will certainly engage, inform and inspire, which is what our audience members are accustomed to.”

The Forum’s fourth speaker for its 2019-20 season, General James Mattis, was rescheduled due to COVID-19 and is now scheduled to appear at Chrysler Hall on August 27. The Norfolk Forum will be working closely with their partners at Chrysler Hall to ensure all necessary health and safety measures, including social distancing, are being employed
for audience members.

Full season tickets for the 2020-21 season are on-sale now for $99 each and only full season tickets will be sold through the date of the first speaker, Jim VandeHei, on Nov. 10, 2020. Single tickets for later speakers will be limited and will only be made available if full season subscriptions do not sell out.
