Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia will receive $10,000 from Dominion Energy as a Critical Community Needs grant recipient.

Senior Services is one of the 161 nonprofit organizations in 11 states that will benefit from the more than $1 million Dominion Energy Critical Community Needs grants that are being given through its charitable arm, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation. This is the third year that Dominion Energy has given more than $1 million through these grants.

The funding will help Senior Services educate more local seniors about their Medicare options through its MedCare Access benefits counseling program, which serves Franklin, Suffolk, Smithfield and Isle of Wight and Southampton counties.
