Newport News Tourism’s New Office Space in City Center at Oyster Point

by Ryan Miller

The Newport News Tourism office relocated from a suite on the third floor of Fountain Plaza to a ground-level storefront space at 702 Town Center Drive in City Center at Oyster Point during the summer of 2017.

The new office gives visitors another resource for information in addition to the city’s official state-certified Visitor Center at the entrance of Newport News Park.

The office space features the more modern, sophisticated and industrial characteristics of Newport News. Along the walls of each hallway is a timeline of significant events in the 400-year history of the city, beginning in 1607 when Capt. Christopher Newport, the city’s namesake, landed on Jamestown Island.
