Old Dominion University earned a spot on Forbes’ National Top 200 “Midsize Employers” list for 2017 and ranked fourth overall for top employers in Virginia. Forbes also examined 300 of the nation’s best midsize employers with employee populations of 1,000 to 5,000 and ranked Old Dominion University as No. 185.

In response to this distinguished ranking, university President John R. Broderick said, “This is a great honor for Old Dominion University, but frankly it’s recognition for our faculty, staff and administrators who passionately strive to make this institution a great place to work.” President Broderick claims that Old Dominion’s standing is a well-deserved reflection of its employees’ dedication to cultivating a diverse and inclusive work environment. “Our commitment to fostering a dynamic learning community with an array of cultures and experiences is a huge part of who we are as a community,” President Broderick stated.
