ENJOY: will be hosting Norfolk’s first Doodlefest on May 17–19, a festival celebrating doodling, collaboration, spontaneity and imperfection. Doodlefest was first produced in Brighton, United Kingdom for Edinburgh Fringe by Roy Zoner, an award-winning documentary filmmaker, producer, artist and avid doodler.
Doodlefest kicks off with an invitational artists’ night on Friday night celebrating the power, joy and art of the doodle. On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the general public is invited to a free day of open doodling for all ages and skill levels as well as doodle-related activities. The festival continues on Sunday at 9 a.m. with a series of $10 workshops.
ENJOY: is a purpose-built pop-up venue located at 429 Granby St. in Downtown Norfolk with a mission to raise funds for local, culturally focused charities. A portion of Doodlefest’s proceeds will be donated to Sweet Haven Bakery, a branch of HER Shelter, a fully licensed professional bakery and workforce program dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence.
