Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites, opening in November 2020 on the Chesapeake Bay, is pleased to announce the executive appointments of Meredith Bottenfield to general manager and Lisa Hemphill to director of sales & marketing. Bottenfield and Hemphill collectively bring more than 30 years of experience to the leadership team and will oversee opening efforts for the 295 all-suite property.
As general manager, Bottenfield will oversee pre-opening and opening initiatives such as managing hotel operations and budgets, recruiting and hiring decisions, guest service inquiries and upholding brand standards property-wide. Bottenfield is a seasoned industry veteran who has held various leadership positions throughout her career, most recently as the general manager at the Hyatt House Virginia Beach / Oceanfront.
Hemphill brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role as director of sales & marketing having held positions with Hyatt, Remington Hotels, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Coastal Hospitality Associates and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. Most recently, Hemphill served as director of sales & marketing at The Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah, Georgia. In her leadership position at Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites, Hemphill will oversee all sales and marketing efforts, including developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans, managing budgets, and securing group and transient business.
