For more than 40 Years, The Hampton Roads Chamber and the Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads, a Chamber affiliate, have celebrated our region’s small businesses with their annual Small Businesses of the Year Awards. Businesses were nominated by the business community, then a business from each of our region’s areas was selected by a distinguished panel of judges. Businesses were evaluated on their history, company culture, philosophy, financial performance, employee training and motivation, community engagement, business planning and growth and customer/client satisfaction.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and are so important to the wellbeing of the communities they serve. CoVaBIZ is pleased to partner with The Hampton Roads Chamber once again, to feature these deserving businesses in our special feature.
Winners were recognized at an event in June 2025 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, presented by Southern Bank.
