Diageo North America, a global beverage leader, recently committed $10 million to support 25 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), including Norfolk State University and Hampton University.
The funds, which will be available for HBCU students across different disciplines and majors, will create a permanent endowment to provide financial aid grants to students in need.
“We are proud to partner with these esteemed institutions and to do our part to help shape a more equitable society by providing opportunities for future leaders,” said Debra Crew, president of Diageo North America.
Diageo North America has plans to establish an internship platform, providing opportunities for HBCU students to gain work experience in the consumer goods industry.
