by CoVaBizMag

Langley For Families Foundation hosted its 6th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Sept. 29 at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg. Despite challenges from COVID-19 and inclement weather, the event raised $380,000 in gross proceeds, the highest in its history.

“We’re immensely thankful for sponsors and vendors that believe in our mission and understand the importance of supporting our non-profit agencies, especially in a year like 2020,” said Fred Hagerman, chairman of Langley for Families Foundation.

Net proceeds from the event will be granted in October to charities that have applied online at LangleyForFamilies.org.

Langley Federal Credit Union has a long history of community involvement and charitable giving dating back to the founding of the credit union in the 1930's. With a commitment to making a difference in the communities it serves, Langley for Families Foundation was launched in 2014 to support causes and charities benefiting children and families.
