Altor/50 gives back

How They Help: Altor Processing changed the mission of their company in 2017 to become Altor/50, pledging 50 percent of all net profits to charity. Based upon five causes that mean the most to their team members—children, pets, cancer, veterans and mental health—they selected five Charities of Choice for 2018: Mercy Medical Angels, Virginia Beach SPCA, Cancer Care Foundation of Tidewater, Troopster and the National Alliance on Mental Illness Virginia Beach Chapter. Every merchant who processes with Altor is given the choice to have their respective proceeds go to one of the five Charities of Choice. If the merchant doesn’t have an affinity to one charity over the other, their portion is split evenly among the five charities. Every quarter, Altor cuts a check to the charities for the proceeds. This is unrestricted revenue the charities can use to fulfill their missions and make our communities even stronger.

Taking it a step further, Altor also offers the program to other charities who may not be a designated Charity of Choice. Any charity partner of Altor will receive the relevant 50 percent generated from their account.

In addition to monetarily donating, Altor team members volunteer with charity partners. They can often be found on the golf course at a charity tournament, at a walk to bring awareness to a cause or at an office helping the charity figure out technology. Their team members are committed to making a difference however they can with the organizations who are working tirelessly to make our community a better place.

Altor/50 Community Impact Awards

Community Impact Awards, Altor/50

To our company, community impact looks like: individuals who are blessed in life using their time, talent and treasure to come together and help those who need us. If we all work together for a greater purpose, everyone wins. In fact, our hope is that other companies will follow our lead and change the face of credit card processing.
