Leesa Sleep Donated Mattresses on World Homeless Day

by CoVaBizMag

On World Homeless Day, Oct. 10, employees of Virginia Beach-based mattress-in-a-box manufacturer Leesa Sleep learned firsthand about “bedlessness” in the region. Jeremiah and Rachel Fjeld from 99forthe1, which distributes food, clothing, haircuts and other items and services to the homeless in the area spoke to staff who that night served hot meals to some 50 persons at a shelter in Norfolk run by The Hope Foundation. Leesa donates one mattress for every 10 sold to shelters nationwide. On Oct. 10, it gave away one for every one sold.
